The Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) Brisbane is a youth program supported by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of Taiwan. It empowers Taiwanese-Australian students to explore and share their cultural heritage through leadership training, community service, and multicultural engagement. FASCA Brisbane members develop skills in public speaking, teamwork, and event coordination while promoting Taiwanese traditions in Australia's diverse society. Through workshops, cultural performances, and collaborative projects, participants become young ambassadors who bridge cultures, foster identity, and strengthen global connections.
The program is locally hosted by the Queensland Taiwan Centre and coached by three consecutive presidents of the World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc. (WAMCI): Susan Yang, Maggie Lu, and Edward Lin. Their guidance and cultural leadership have played a vital role in shaping the program's vision, mentoring youth, and deepening community engagement across generations.
