The 2022 Taiwan Culture Festival offered Queenslanders a vibrant celebration of Taiwanese heritage, arts, and traditions. Organised by World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc., the festival featured a diverse range of activities throughout February.

The festivities began with the Lunar New Year Celebration at Sunnybank Plaza from 1 to 6 February, welcoming visitors to experience traditional customs, performances, and cultural displays. On 5 February, the Moreton Bay Lunar New Year Performance brought lively entertainment and community spirit to Caboolture Town Square.

The Taiwan Imagery Exhibition opened on 12 February at the Queensland Taiwan Centre, Sunnybank, showcasing the beauty and diversity of Taiwan through visual art. The exhibition ran until 26 February, with daily opening hours for guests to explore.

The festival concluded with the Lantern Painting Competition Award Ceremony on 19 February at Sunnybank Plaza, recognising creativity and celebrating the spirit of the Lunar New Year.

The 2022 Taiwan Culture Festival was a wonderful opportunity for Australians to connect with Taiwanese culture, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and join in the Lunar New Year celebrations.
