Susan Yang, President of World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc.

Welcome to the World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc. (WAMCI) website. It is my great honour to serve as President of this vibrant organisation, which has grown from a shared passion for culture, creativity, and community into a meaningful platform for artistic and intercultural exchange.

At WAMCI, we believe that art is a universal language — one that builds bridges across cultures and generations. Our mission is to bring people together through events, exhibitions, and collaborations that reflect the rich diversity of Australia's multicultural society. Whether it's showcasing traditional performances, supporting emerging artists, or creating spaces for cross-cultural dialogue, our work is guided by values of inclusion, respect, and celebration.

I warmly invite you to explore our programs, join our events, and become part of the WAMCI family. Together, we can continue to honour heritage, inspire creativity, and make lasting connections in our communities and beyond.

Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to welcoming you at one of our upcoming events.

Warm regards,

Susan Yang
President, World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc.

World Arts & Multi-Culture Inc. (WAMCI) was founded in Brisbane in 2003 by Melody Chen with the support of the arts and cultural community. Since then, the organisation has been dedicated to fostering international collaboration and cultural exchange. WAMCI achieves this by presenting workshops, exhibitions, performances, displays, forums, and presentations that provide platforms for cultural sharing and dialogue. Through these initiatives, WAMCI not only promotes multiculturalism but also strengthens cross-cultural understanding and encourages active citizenship. Over the past two decades, it has delivered a myriad of artistic and cultural projects—from concerts and theatre productions to festivals and publications—leaving a lasting impact on communities across Queensland and beyond.
